Food Bank Distribution In Fairbanks

Once again the Northern Region Alaska Laborers came together to distribute Thanksgiving meals with city officials including Councilmembers Crystal Tidwell (Member IUOE 302) and Lonni Marney, and newly elected Mayor Mindy O’Neall (former member Laborers 942).

After yesterday’s donation to the Food Bank we were at the distribution site downtown where everyone was served with dignity at an orderly drive through station. We unloaded the dinner boxes and rolled out the turkeys. This year we were also pleased to distribute traditional sockeye salmon. Only in Alaska will part of that drive-through include a pickup by dogsled!

Thank you to our LIUNA family today, Josh Paris of Local 942, and Chris Tapp & Jenn Yuhas of Public Employees Local 71.
