Voting is open now for People’s Choice in the 2025 Miss Alaska USA contest, and our choice is Local 71 Member, Malaynee White!

Go to https://alaska.themissusa.com/products/malaynee-white/ to cast your vote and support our Sister, who is running on a platform of getting more women into the trades!

Malaynee is a proud Local 71 member who supports women in the trades and volunteers regularly for veterans events. Her talent will be singing for this event, as she beautifully demonstrated by recently singing the national anthem for our Union Night At The Park in Fairbanks. She is also an accomplished welder and valuable member of the Alaska DOT facilites maintenance team at Eielson Air Force Base. She is promoting pathways for women to enter the trades, fair working conditions, and pursuing her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to add to her skills.
